The wind and El Olio Wolof
Snow White (my trusty Chihuahua) and I have been cooped up here at home all week. The weather is crazy and I cannot risk getting a cold or flu or anything like that so we have been spending our days watching movies, reading and surfing the web. I may get out later this evening however if I feel like bundling up. One of my favorite bands will be in town and I usually try to catch them when they come around this way.
Come by Cafe Deva on J Street if you are looking for something fun to do tonight. Enjoy a cold pint, glass of wine or hot coffee and a delicious dessert while you listen to some great Indie bands and take in some fantastic art.
I can't think of a better way to have some fun while the rain is soaking the city and the wind is making a mess of our streets. The event starts at 8pm, but make sure to get there early if you plan on attending. I am not sure what time that the band that I am looking forward to the most (El Olio Wolof) will take the stage, but you should really try to be there when they do to enjoy their unique sound. They somehow manage to fuse rock music with folk music and deliver it to the audience wrapped in beautiful lyrics that will leave you both deep in thought and wanting more.
Like I said, I really would like to get out tonight. If you see me, say hello please. I'll be the guy with the black Apple laptop sitting alone and taking in the whole scene. I would love to hear any questions, comments or concerns that you have about our site.
