Big Earl on Art Walk, also Big Earl and the Crying Shame, P Wexford's Nov 17

Big Earl is also a sculptor and three of his wire creations will be on display Thursday at the State Theatre Art Walk Event, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tara Tinsley will be our music guest, but if Earl drops in to see if anyone has expressed purchase interest in his art, maybe we could press him to sing a tune.

Known for blues, we'll note that Joe Barretta and John Ady (who is bassist with CA Bass Alliance, out at Queen Bean Riverbank, and Nov 28 at Clayton's, where bass player of Rhythm Deluxe, has played with Joe in the Joe Barretta band, at Blue Monday, and also with Andres Cervantes with us as a guest at State Theatre Art Walk, well, they play next month, December 20. Big Earl known to stop in on Blue Monday jam too.

In the meantime P. Wexfords has Big Earl and the Crying Shame up McHenry in the 3200 block, booked for Saturday Night, so if not seeing Jon Valenti and guests at Jon's great CD Party, or going to split shows, bypassing previous guest Dave Hanley Band and LiGuana at Queen Bean, as Jon is going to be our music guest in January, Dave has been in September, gives some idea how busy a farm town has gone ART and MUSIC, rocks all week, Modesto has become, then go uptown and see Big Earl and the Crying Shame. Likely less MPD overtime paid out there.

Its a busy week, FREE at some places, only $5 others, free cds for first 100 in some venues, and CD new release music to hear in others. A Great week in Modesto, just a plug for one of the artists on art walk this week, who also had his art on display with us last month.
