Crafts, Indie Rock and a great CD release party

This has been a crazy week here in our little farm town. I have been to all sorts of events and as the week winds down, I have plans for even more. I am really looking forward to next week with one of the most highly anticipated record release parties of the year coming up on Saturday night at the Fat Cat.

In just over a year, local phenom, Jon Valenti has done a series of great shows in the valley and the San Francisco bay area, won a well-deserved MAMA award, helped other artists get started and he has managed to record his freshman CD, “Grin and Bury It� at the same time. Don’t miss Valenti’s party. His smooth voice, captivating lyrics, fiery sense of humor and relaxed sense of style will be sure to win over the crowd.

Make sure to also check out our event calendar for other events coming up. Hand Born will bring unique fashions and crafts to Concetta, Off the Air will rock the Fat Cat with Sapo Sueno, Not an Airplane and others and another great art walk is planned for Thursday night (rain or shine.)

If you know of any other events coming up, let us know. You can add them to our event calendar for free. If you have a special event that you want people to know about such as a charity event, make us aware of it and we may be able to ad it our network of checkout aisle advertising at area Wal-Mart stores. This is yet another free service that we offer to benefit the community.

Be safe out there and come by the Queen Bean tomorrow night to take a little chill out of your bones with a hot coffee or cocoa while taking in a fun night of open-mic music. If you have the desire, come by and sing or play. If you enjoy open-mic nights, the Speakeasy will also be hosting one soon. More details on that will follow!
