Go back in time Wednesday night!
Have you ever wanted to be in a music video? Do you still recall when Courtney Cox of "Friends" fame was pulled on stage by Bruce (The Boss) Springsteen during the video for "Dancing in the Dark?"
Swing by the State Theatre on Wednesday night and you too could be pulled on stage and made into a massive star! Local 80's cover band, Aquanett will be filming a video that night and in addition to that, a full-blown 80's concert will take place starring Aquanett and Journey cover band, Arrival.
If you were a Motley Crue fan back in the 80's and made common practice of flicking your cigarette lighters up during Poison concerts, Cinderella power ballads and Bon Jovi love songs, don't miss this show!
For only eight bucks (about half the price of a great big hair wig) you can enjoy this evening of madness and time travel. This is the chance for all the 40 year-old folks out there to bust out the spandex tops and leather pants that they were once proud to be seen in! This is the chance for those folks to lose control and just get lost in the past for a few hours.
I was in junior high school back then but I was a big music fan nonetheless. I would love to hear a little Journey cover action and I hear that the lead singers for both of these bands really pull off solid impersonations.
For all the info. that you could ever need on this wild make-up, big hair (and that is just the guys) rockfest click here: http://www.modestofamous.com/node/3038.
Maybe I will see you there. Now, if I could only get this darn hair brush unstuck from this wig...
