Making Film in Modesto

There’s a pulse.

Modesto, sleepy, serene, suburbia.

Stanislaus County’s a rich place to make movies. We have quirky cities like Waterford, Newman and gorgeous agricultural landscapes. The virgin resources are relatively untapped. There’s no need for permits, and the small town atmosphere make most locations accessible with a talk to mom & pop store owners.

Exposure’s also a breeze, so why aren’t more people doing film here?

The art and music community’s growing. It’s a perfect time to be an active participant in the Modesto Cinema Community.

Film can be a Modesto past time.
