Need something to do this week?

Another Monday has arrived and it is time again to crawl out of bed and face your job. Some of you might still be a little out of it if you went to X-Fest. That was one heck of a party! I was very impressed with the band, “Blue October. They were excellent!

So what is there to do out there this week? That my friends is a very good question!

If you are into Blues and Jazz, Clayton's on H St. is the place to be tonight. Every Monday night they feature “The Blue Monday Jam. Relax, have a drink or a great meal and enjoy the jam session featuring some of Modesto's most talented musicians. For more details, call Clayton's at 209-522-7811.

Tomorrow night at Cafe Deva on J St. Off the Air will feature up and coming starlet, Shelley Short from Portland. You will also see bands more locally based such as Actively Moving, Kid Mud and one of our very favorite artists, Not an Airplane. This will be a great all ages show! The kitchen will be open and preparing great food for those of you that want to make a complete evening out of this. That is my plan!

If you have been feeling anxious to head out of town for a fun evening, call Jon Valenti at 209-968-2955 and find out if he has any tickets left for The VD Show in San Jose. For $35.00 you travel to San Jose via private luxury coach with Aaron Durr and Valenti and a whole group of wild Modestan's. That fee will also get you dinner, admission to the three hour performance and alcohol on the bus during the trip to the show.

Keep checking out our event calendar for updates and don't forget that you can add your own also.

Have a great week Modesto! The weather will be hot and so will some of the local events that are planned!

Stay cool!
