Bar Napkin Review of FAT CAT, Tinsley, Valenti, Not an Airplane, by felt pen
I managed to get the free tickets for answering the Mojo call for check it out, he had free tickets.
So....ever the responsible volunteer blogger here, see if the myspace blog, with the bar napkins I did while there, short the one of Ruben, and Camille and the Blues Frog gone electric blues guitar, lost to Mike Watson over at Tresetti's. Thought I'd post a review of one of the concerts I attend.

OK, I draw when I'm in dark places, my eyesight not the greatest, brought felt pen, near laundry marker size, and used bar napkins, So, this is what happens, when Jim gets free tickets from Modesto Famous, and goes to Fat Cat on eleventh street in Modesto, to see NOT AN AIRPLANE, TARA TINSLEY, and JON VALENTI
..
go to bar, order first of three guinness, obviously helps art, and of course steal the bar napkins to draw on.
after leaving bar, in Harvard Sweat shirt from Larry and Natasha, I've not been to Boston yet, sit down, do self portrait of sorts, see if glasses fit in dark

they do.....eye looks for somebody or something to draw

hmmm, who is missing, why did i forget batteries while on camping trip so digital camera didn't work

Cheryl, this is a drawing of Red Ridign Hood

Big Guy with the shaved head, seemed different enough, and ok to draw

Jon Valenti had this thrift store shirt, and i was having trouble drawing him.

Could be Not an Airplane, eyes not focused yet, and first drawing in series.

Tara Tinsley had this great blue dress, is cute, so added weight, left out eyes, as she plays guitar well.....

still trying to do Jon, now I'm in back of the bar for all this, so really lousy vantage point, but sitting where I did the best, one of Ruben aka Modesto Mojo, and his friend, he claims best digital photo shopist Camille. I never leave without somebody getting one or more, and left the blues frog playing guitar for new version of modesto blues fest logo, with Mike Watson, my friend who used to do What's On Productions, where I always did the posters. He was across the street at Tresetti's and good to see him, chat after show.
hard to say, is it Ruben, or the guy out having a smoke, etc. crowd shot

oh, Running Fruit comic characters, sitting attentively for signature portrait.
Anyway, now you know what I do in bars, music, etc, if have a pen with me, as bar napkins longtime friendly medium.
thanks, thought I'd post an art blog review of Concert this evening. Only missing three from the deal, so get an idea how I'm drawing tonight.
