Thats a bummer about the Jig man....sorry to hear it. We'll try to round up some fat girls and a couple of midgets to help fill the void. I was not hating on Jiggy. People like you always only read what you want to see and nothing else. If you re-read my original post I say that I have defended Jiggy more than once and that I do not think that his music sucks. He is a good kid with great goals and he fights like hell to do what he does. He is a unique kid.

Also, why is it that whenever someone writes a response to anything about Jiggy whether good or bad that the grammar is so bad that our readers can hardly understand it?

Don't try to call me a hater. I do more to promote any type of local band than almost any other person in the valley. I love music and life and let's be very clear about one thing...

The money raised on my behalf is going towards medicine and medical bills. My friends originally and bands involved wanted to send me on a vacation to thank me for what I have done to help them but I am getting more and more unhealthy so that is no longer an option.

Again, I did not hate on Jiggy in my original post. I just laid things out. That is what I do. My focus is to give people the low down and then the community takes it from there. I have promoted this kid and encouraged him and I will continue doing so.

It's no smearfest. It's just the way I see it.. He requested to be on the bill.. and then from there things got shady. He wanted to go on later in the nights order of bands that he was given by Matt Clop..and when that didn't happen in his favor, he drops out and calls it a vacation bennifit show. His name is still on the bill all over myspace and like Ruben said.. Some people made up their mind that they won't come to the show for that reason alone. It was free promotion for him.. but suddenly there are bigger better things for him to do that nite he just blows the each day counts show off.
I appreciate all that Mojo does and did for us and didn't take it to well when I read what I did. I was offended and know that others actually involved in this project were as well. We are better than this true.. and do need to show support to eachother as locals..
( but thats a whole diffrent topic to be real about shit . ) The way jig went about this was well.. I guess Modesto will just have to read and make their minds up on their own. This will be long forgotten come friday nite anyway.

jiggy sucks AND SO DO YOU for throwing a show on the same day that the carver hall had a BIG show booked for MANY months in advance.. as a fan of rap i was totally dismayed that you would try to pull some of the 'rap' crowd in the first place when there is already a huge rap show scheduled on that day...you knew there was a show waaaay before you decided to 'fundraise'pal.. regardless of your reason for 'raising money' for yourself YOU WERE STEPPING ON TOES & IT WONT BE TOLERATED NEXT TIME HOMIE ;)

First of all...why waste your time going back to a post that is two weeks old for an event that is already over?

Secondly, places all over town were having events that night and it wasn't ever a competition of who's crowd could be taken from anywhere.

On that same night, Roem Baur played down the street at Modesto Sports Bar and Grill, and the Fat Cat a few block's further had a huge PJ Party with many half-naked people having plenty of fun irregardless of anything going on anywhere else. Towns should have multiple things going on during the same time, it gives the public options. On that same night, the Queen Bean had a performance - and apparently there was an event booked at Carver Hall (that one I didn't know about - as I'm sure many of our patrons did not). The people booking the charity event tried to pull no one away from Carver Hall. If you want to point anger toward any one it should be the Rap Artist who VOLUNTEERED to be at the event - and since they canceled - did they ever show up at your event instead? And if so...did it REALLY help your crowd? If it did - great for you!

It sounds like you're intending that comment to Mojo - who did not throw the event, or help plan it in any way. The GROUP of people who threw the event FOR him made very sure that he wasn't to be a part of it. It was a "Thank You" to him, from them.

The person who originally brainstormed about the event is not a huge rap fan, and because of that - may not have known at all that, "there was a show waaay before you decided to 'fundraise' pal." And the night chosen was scheduled by the facility that hosted the evening because that's what they had open.

LASTLY, there is no "$$$" to be ENJOYED "while it lasts." What was made was put toward medical bills that accumulated during hours of poking and prodding and anesthesia that was NOT enjoyable.

That comment was hilarious! First of all, I did not book the show. It was booked by a promoter friend of mine and it was booked to work around many schedules. There was also a big party at The Fat Cat that night and both that event and my event did very, very well. I am sorry if the Carver show flopped. It is not our fault if the quality of your show lacked and that people did not come out to see it. Do you expect just one show in Modesto every night?

As for the threats...
What are you trying to say? My voice is respected here and my opinions are valued. I have featured rap acts here and promoted them. I don't have any prejudices.

I would greatly appreciate that if for the sake of our readers that you would at least make your comments make some sense. You come across as immature, uneducated and very uninformed. Come at me with the facts and stop hiding behind 'guest' status and if you do that I will gladly listen to what you have to say.

Well this person is obviously an idiot just trying to stir things up. I admire the modestofamous.com policy of Freedom of Speech and no editing but maybe we just shouldnt respond to people like this.

I still think people should be required to create a valid account to post on the board. I really enjoy reading everyones posts but I can see how I personally could eventually be turned off from the site if these immature Non-Account individuals are filling up the board with negative ramblings. You shouldn't let a few bad people spoil everyones enjoyment here. It is just one thing that might help keep them out.

We tried at Non-account policy at the beginning but found that more people in Modesto choose to publish their ideas while hiding behind something. I would like to see people sign up also but we just had zero feedback that way. Maybe we are done with that one bad seed. Let's move on.

first off, im not affiliated with the carver hall.. i go to hip hop shows and rock shows alike in all venues modesto has to offer... im a fan of most independent modesto music because i think we should SUPPORT the underground... i just thought it was idiotic for you to post on a public forum about jiggy and make a big deal out of him not being able to show up when you dont like rap in the first place!... the fact is you put a 'rap act' on your bill on the same date as the 'saafir' show which was posted on modesto famous a full month previous to your announced date..a FULL MONTH! so i flat out dont believe you didn't know anything about it...fact is you just DIDN'T CARE and wanted to make as much $$$$ as you could off of jiggy's name & jiggy's fans... maybe it's as easy as researching modesto famous & finding out if there is ALREADY a hip hop/rock show that day! duh!.. modesto doesn't have a big enough population for their to be 4 shows in one day.. and booking a show on the same date someone already has set up waaay before you is unethical and a filthy business tactic...im also not one to wish a painful death on a person like yourself.. lord knows you were raised by a drooling pack of wolves

I will be at a rap show tonight and I am listening to D12 and Ludacris right now. Why do you pretend to know what songs reside on my iPods or home PC?

Also, Jig asked to be a part of the show. He was not asked. You may want to address these comments to the promoter that promoted my show. I did not choose the date. It was fun and we had a good time with the people that packed the place to wish us luck.

I hope the show at The Fat Cat tonight is a big draw. I wish everyone the best of luck!
