Hello everyone!
We are ready to announce our fall class schedule and lesson times.
Theatre Classes:
Ages 8-13 will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 - 5:30 pm.
This class will focus on each of the singing, dancing, and acting aspects of musical theatre. This year the students will participate in a Disney Review that will be the pre-show for "Hairspray in Concert" , a Christmas Concert, a joint show with the older students called "Tomorrow I Will Be Yours" and a performance in the spring that they will have written and directed entirely by themselves. The cost for this two day/two hour a week class is $100.00 a month per student.

Actors, musicians and artists will fill downtown Riverbank for an art walk on Aug. 24.
To be a part of the action, complete an entry form available at riverbank.org or rioarts.org by Aug. 13.
Artists are also invited to enter the chalk walk, an amateur sidewalk chalk competition held during the art walk. Artists will create chalk drawings with a theme of celebrating Riverbank’s 85th birthday. Enter the Chalk Walk at rioarts.org by Aug. 22.

 Volker Strifler, a long time member of the Ford Blues Band, is achieving recognition as a musician, singer, songwriter, band leader, and record producer. His solo CDs, The Volker Strifler Band, released in 2002, and The Dance Goes On, released in 2006, received critical acclaim from the blues press, musical peers, and fans around the world. It’s clear that Volker Strifler is a unique musician in his own right. He has synthesized many years of American music study and the lessons learned as a longtime sideman to Robben, Patrick, and Mark Ford, Lowell Fulson, Chris Cain and others into his own unique musical style and sound. The Volker Strifler Band is an extraordinary group of musicians that is more than just the sum of their shared and individual experience as performers. Together (Volker Strifler on guitar an vocals, Gary Silva on drums, Don Bassey on bass, and “Chip� Roland Condon on keyboards), they conjure up a seductive mixture of old and new styles and hard to find originality. "The Blues is what I start with. It brings with it a singular truth I have come to love. In the process of writing and playing, I let the influences on my life shape it to make it my own� says Strifler.
