Prospect Theater Project will hold auditions for its seventh season on Aug. 18 from 1 to 6 p.m. The season's productions include Greg Kotis' "Pig Farm," Frank McGuinness' "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me," Eugene Ionesco's "Exit the King," Ira Levin's "Deathtrap," and Paula Vogel's "Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief." The Twain Harte Rotery Club and the Chamber iof Commerce is combining to have a BBQ. dinner and concert afterwards with local group "Rick and the Rockets". Dinner starts at 5pm and is $6.50 for the BBQ, and Music at 7pm is free! The event will be held at the Base Ball diamond behind Eproson Park in Twain Harte this Saturday night, August 18th. "Rick and the Rockets" have been together since 1976 and used to be called the "Silvermoon Band". They are playing all the hits from the 50's and early 60's. The band is Barry Day on Drums, Ken Daniel on Bass and Vocals, Rick Barnes on Guitar and Vocals, Ray Potter on Keyboards and Vocals, and the newest member of the band that will be introduced at the concert, Randy Kirk on Guitar and Vocals. For the uninformed, Randy played with the local band "Spellbound" for many years. » read more

Hello everyone! We are ready to announce our fall class schedule and lesson times. Theatre Classes: Ages 8-13 will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 - 5:30 pm. This class will focus on each of the singing, dancing, and acting aspects of musical theatre. This year the students will participate in a Disney Review that will be the pre-show for "Hairspray in Concert" , a Christmas Concert, a joint show with the older students called "Tomorrow I Will Be Yours" and a performance in the spring that they will have written and directed entirely by themselves. The cost for this two day/two hour a week class is $100.00 a month per student. » read more

Actors, musicians and artists will fill downtown Riverbank for an art walk on Aug. 24. To be a part of the action, complete an entry form available at riverbank.org or rioarts.org by Aug. 13. Artists are also invited to enter the chalk walk, an amateur sidewalk chalk competition held during the art walk.
