As an orignial, and current member of the "Silvermoon Band", as well as a member of "Rick and the Rockets", Rick has played music and entertained folks in the greater Modesto area since 1971! In 1974 Rick met Dave Lopes and they have been playing on and off for 33 years.

 Prospect Theater Project will hold auditions for its seventh season on Aug. 18 from 1 to 6 p.m. The season's productions include Greg Kotis' "Pig Farm," Frank McGuinness' "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me," Eugene Ionesco's "Exit the King," Ira Levin's "Deathtrap," and Paula Vogel's "Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief." LATIN MUSIC CONCERT SERIES
CONTINUES WITH
SECOND EVENT AT THE STATE THEATRE!
Olé Productions, in association with The State Theatre, will present the second concert of the Latin Music Concert Series on Saturday, August 18th, 2007. The next concert in the series will feature a legend of Latin music with roots in the San Francisco bay area. The concert will take place at the historic and beautiful State Theatre in down town Modesto.

The Twain Harte Rotery Club and the Chamber iof Commerce is combining to have a BBQ. dinner and concert afterwards with local group "Rick and the Rockets". Dinner starts at 5pm and is $6.50 for the BBQ, and Music at 7pm is free! The event will be held at the Base Ball diamond behind Eproson Park in Twain Harte this Saturday night, August 18th. "Rick and the Rockets" have been together since 1976 and used to be called the "Silvermoon Band". They are playing all the hits from the 50's and early 60's. The band is Barry Day on Drums, Ken Daniel on Bass and Vocals, Rick Barnes on Guitar and Vocals, Ray Potter on Keyboards and Vocals, and the newest member of the band that will be introduced at the concert, Randy Kirk on Guitar and Vocals. For the uninformed, Randy played with the local band "Spellbound" for many years.
