What is the Xclamation Fest? It is a downtown music and arts festival. The idea for the festival originated from a discussion that Greg Cunningham from JCD Concept 2000 and Chris Ricci had regarding the new Downtown Modesto. We believe that this city needed a large-scale professionally run festival to celebrate our newly revitalized downtown and to help develop the arts in our city. The Xclamation Festival is unlike any other festival of its kind in the United States. The Xclamation Festival is features up to 80 bands and performers on 6 separate stages and the World’s Largest Outdoor Disco that utilizes four city blocks. In its 6th year, the Xclamation Festival draws 15,000 people to downtown and features some of the best and most popular touring acts in the country. » read more

Here comes the great local band DERIVA made up of old members of Join'r and Sunday's Dilemma! They bring their pop/rock/experimental sound out to The Mainzer theater. Last time Deriva played they brought a packed house out for their CD release party, now we got them back and with KISS KISS and the central valley's own piano indie rock favorites in FAIRWAY! Last time the Fairway played The Mainzer, they had to open so a lot of people seemed to miss them, but they were absolutely great, bringing piano rock with a sounds that reminds us of the style of The Ben Fold Five and Coldplay. » read more
