The Bee is writing a story about where to see comedy in the area. I wanted to get your feedback on places that host regular stand-up shows. I already have the Fat Cat and Sidelines, but I wanted to include as many venues as possible. Let me know. I need the information by early next week (July 31) at the latest. Thanks!

Dave Letterman's Modesto Shout Out

Modesto's own Greg Edwards (Off the Air creator extraordinaire) called me from New York this afternoon to say that Modesto and The Bee gets mentioned on tonight's Late Show with David Letterman. Dave name drops the area in reference to a Bee article on Oakdale's Testicle Festival. So tune in (it airs tonight at 11 p.m. on CBS). More details here.

Hey, “American Idol�? fanatics, we’re looking for some die-hard fans to help us judge the “AI�? contestants on a weekly basis for a new, interactive online feature we’re planning at www.modbee.com. Can you out snap Simon? Are you one of Randy’s dawgs? Do you appear heavily medicated like Paula? OK, wait, never mind that last bit.
