Hello Modesto! & Shadow Chase Running friends! What a great morning I had running for the children’s hospital. The balloons where awesome & everybody was all smiles. Sorry I wasn’t able to stick around to much longer after the run to be my corky self. Smiles. I was scheduled to have a medical procedure done at noon Saturday. TBTG all went well at the hospital & I am now The Bionic Runner/Nut. Smiles.. Look out Mike Boyer; at the next run, I will register under the name Steve Austin AKA The Bionic Man Giggles.

As Gustav Makes it’s way past Cuba, it heads for our Gulf Coast. Yikes! The Gulf Coast is where the United States gets 25% of it’s oil from. If our off shore rigs get hit hard, gas will surly go up within the next few days. $5.00 a gallon.. Its inedible! Me, I just filled up all my tanks here preparing for the worst. Well, it looks like I will be having Banquet Chicken again for dinner. LOL I just cashed it all out to keep my motors moving. See details Link Below..

I imagine that many people must think from my blogs here that I live my life problem free. That everything must come easy for me & my wife. This is far from the truth. School starts on Monday for the rest of the gang! Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to work and remember that the streets will be filled with kids once again making their way to & from school. Also, if you have to pass a school in the morning and after work, plan your route wisely so if you can avoid a traffic jam for those parents who are picking up their kids from school. My other advice, get to bed a little earlier and wake up a little earlier. Prep the night before for the next day. It helps.. Have a great week everyone & blessings to the kids for a safe and exciting new school year.

With many colleges in full swing right about now, many of my friends have been blown away with the cost of sending their kids to college. Ah hello, a college education has never been on sale or considered a luxury to have with most families and people out there. In fact, some students never even make it past the high school parking lot do to the inflating cost of a college education. With that being said, here’s some food for thought. If you’re a parent, it’s never to late to start that college fund for your children. Recently I was invited to help come up with a swimming pool layout for a family I know. Incidentally, this is the same family that was complaining to me about the cost of sending their oldest to college. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help but think. Didn’t you have a college fund set up at the birth of your oldest. Hmm.. And wouldn’t be better to think about investing in your child’s education than to put in a pool in at your home. Sure, a pool is nice to have, but sending your kids to college would be even a better idea. I guess I’m just incredibly crazy here, but I always thought that the responsibly on being a parent doesn’t stop when the kid turns 18 years old. I always thought that as a parent, we are obligated to make sure that your children are able to continue their education if they decide to do so after high school. I always thought that being a parent is a life time obligation and it’s up to us to set an example for future family generations to come. But heck, what do I know? I am not a parent. I have no kids!

So I was spinning/ working at the Center Plaza last weekend and much to my surprise, I got nailed for a $25.00 parking ticket. Honestly, I didn’t see the sign that said, “Metered Lot.." In fact, I actually thought it was free parking that night since I didn’t see an attendant at the entrance to the perking lot on 11th & K street. Well, at the end of the gig, I went to my van and found this love letter on my windshield. What! No way! Busted! That‘s right, I got nailed as well as 5 other cars in the lot. OK so after that I went looking for the sign that said. “Metered Lot" & Sure enough, it was there; it was on the opposite side of the Attendance Booth at the entrance.

A New Site For Blogging

OK so I was recently contacted by a few webmasters as well as a couple of investors. The Thought is, lets make a new site for people to blog and post more about what’s going on in Modesto and the Surrounding Communities. Me, I am all for it and I am flattered that they contacted me. Me, I have loads of great ideas here that would really make a site like this grow beyond expectation. Modesto Famous is a wonderful place to blog friends, but I am thinking it’s time that Modesto needs a site that blogs and promotes more than what’s in the best interest for themselves verses for a starving Music and Arts community that needs to keep growing.
